This Week’s News
• Our historic Gothic Pulpit was removed on May 28-29 by Weberding Carving
Shop of Batesville. It is in their shop
awaiting complete rebuilding and restoration, following the recently-discovered
termite damage that had significantly weakened its base. The cost for this is $50,000 and is not
covered by insurance. Any donations will
be welcomed whole-heartedly!
• The new boiler has been installed, replacing steam as our heating source.
• The tuck-pointing of all the church’s exterior brick and masonry began on Monday, March 16
and will continue through July, weather permitting. Work will begin on the south side of the
church on July 6, which means 1/3 of our parking lot will not be available for
use. We apologize for this
temporary, but necessary, inconvenience.
